Team Coaching enhances a team’s performance by improving the way they work together. In their book “The Wisdom of Teams” Katzenbach and Smith describe a team as “A small number of people with complimentary skills who are committed to a common purpose, performance goals and approach for which they hold themselves mutually accountable”.

Team performance at the top can present specific challenges. The goal of team coaching is to identify issues both within and between individuals on a team and work with the team leader and team members to resolve these. Key skills include communication, handling conflict and challenging behaviours, conducting positive meetings, and goal alignment.
